Common use of Insurance and Bonding Clause in Contracts

Insurance and Bonding. 18.1 The Contractor shall provide continuous adequate liability insurance coverage during the existence of this contract and any renewal(s) and extension(s) of it. By execution of this contract, unless it is a state agency or subdivision as defined by Section 768.28(2), F.S., the Contractor accepts full responsibility for identifying and determining the type(s) and extent of liability insurance coverage necessary to provide reasonable financial protections for the Contractor and the clients to be served under this contract. The limits of coverage under each policy maintained by the Contractor do not limit the Contractor’s liability and obligations under this contract. The Contractor shall ensure that the Agency has the most current written verification of insurance coverage throughout the term of this contract. Such coverage may be provided by a self-insurance program established and operating under the laws of the State of Florida. The Agency reserves the right to require additional insurance as specified in this contract.
