Instrument Technician. Entry Level - Physically able to perform the work. - Successful completion of 2-year (4 semesters) Community College course in industrial instrumentation or electronic or electrical technology. - Ability to prepare technical reports. - Willing and able to pass all safety and training programs for this position. - Ability to safely perform current duties. LEVEL 1 Successful completion of the following training and/or certification: • Location Emergency Plan • Hazardous Work Permit and Mastercard • Transportation of Dangerous Goods • WHMIS • Quality Control • Safe handling of O2 and cryogenics • O2 cleaning • PPE • FIX32 level 1 • Xxxxx Xxxxxxx PLC • Analyzer calibration An understanding of P & IDs’ and schematics and being able to navigate thru both. An understanding of the Fix32 OIU and the different process controls (ie. PIC, LIC) An understanding, both thru written and oral testing, of the following areas: • Air separation overview • All driox systems (O2, N2, Ar and H2) • Hot water system • Instrument air and N2 backup systems • QA analyzers This will include the operation and troubleshooting. Demonstrate the ability to fill the Ar TS tank Demonstrate the ability to load and unload O2, Ar and N2 trucks and complete necessary paperwork. Successful completion of any training courses deemed necessary by management. XXXXX 0 Xx xxxxxxxxxxxxx, xxxx xxxx written and oral testing, of the following areas: • Product metering systems • All FIX32 process control loops • All process instrumentation • CSS • Blacs • Blocs • Boc • Turbines/generators • Warm end air • Cooling/chilled Water • Fire pump system This will include the operation and troubleshooting of the above systems. Can manage and is familiar with the spare parts inventory. Can manage the 7i PM and the Honeywell calibration (Doc RX) programs Is familiar with the MOC, jumper log and backup procedures. Is familiar with procedures for contacting Linde technical support. Successful completion of any training courses deemed necessary by management. LEVEL 3 - Demonstrates complete understanding of and is capable of troubleshooting all functions of the Argon system including deoxo unit, dryers, compressor and process columns. - Demonstrates complete understanding of and is capable of troubleshooting all PLC's and computers. - Is familiar with the plant process up to Operator Level 4.
