Common use of Initial Term and Renewal Clause in Contracts

Initial Term and Renewal. This Agreement shall commence on the 1st day of November, 1996 and shall remain in effect for an initial term of two (2) years. Thereafter, this Agreement shall automatically renew for successive terms of three (3) years subject to all terms and conditions herein contained (except that the fees provided for in paragraph B.1, above are subject to review and adjustment on an annual basis), unless and until either AmeriPath or SBCL shall give the other party written notice not less than ninety (90) days prior to expiration of the then current term of its intention to terminate this Agreement as of the expiration of the initial term or any subsequent term.

Initial Term and Renewal. This Agreement shall commence become effective on November 9, 2020 (the 1st day of November, 1996 “Effective Date”) and shall remain in full force and effect for an initial term of two (2) yearsuntil terminated by either party, pursuant to Section 3.2. Thereafter, this This Agreement shall automatically renew for successive terms of three twelve (312) years subject to all terms and conditions herein contained month periods (except that the fees provided for in paragraph B.1, above are subject to review and adjustment on an annual basis), each a “Renewal Term”) unless and until either AmeriPath or SBCL shall give the other party gives written notice not less than of nonrenewal at least ninety (90) days prior to expiration the end of the then then-current term of its intention to (a “Nonrenewal Notice”), in which case the Agreement shall terminate this Agreement as at the end of the expiration of the initial term or any subsequent then-current term.
