Common use of Informal Clause in Contracts

Informal. Within ten (10) school days subsequent to the occurrence, or the time the teacher knew of the occurrence of facts giving rise to a grievance, the teacher and an Association representative(s), if the teacher so desires, may report the matter to the building principal for purposes of arriving at a mutually satisfactory solution to the complaint. In such case, the principal shall not consult with the teacher concerning the grievance until the arrival of such representative(s). In any case, the principal will meet with the teacher and his representative(s) and subsequently inform the grievant of his decision within seven (7) school days.
