Independent Studies. Sample Provision 1: “The Parties expressly reserve the right to perform independent NRDA studies, i.e., studies on which the Parties have not agreed and that are not governed by this Agreement (Independent Studies). The Trustees reserve their right to seek reimbursement of costs arising from or related to Independent Studies to the extent permitted under CERCLA, 43 C.F.R. Each Party agrees not to undertake any Independent Study unless such study has been first proposed as a Cooperative Study to all the Parties. Independent Studies. Faculty who facilitate independent study classes will be paid $55 per credit, per student. Independent study classes will be offered only upon supervisor approval. Payment for independent study classes is made upon submission of grade.
Independent Studies. Independent study supervision is not allocated to workload unit calculations and is compensated separately. Core Faculty members are not required to teach independent studies.
Independent Studies. A faculty member who teaches an independent studies course shall be limited to three (3) students per semester. Compensation for a three (3) credit hour independent studies course shall be two hundred forty ($240.00) dollars per student.

Independent Studies. Independent studies are generally scheduled for one or two hours per week. They are designed to meet the need for classes which will not produce minimum enrollment. The load factor shall be .20 plus .05 for each additional student. Such classes are offered only at the discretion of the District. A unit member may decline this assignment as a condition of meeting an under-load.
