In-Service Days. Employees who are required to attend workshops outside of their regular scheduled day shall be paid their regular rate of pay for actual hours in attendance at such workshops, exclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner and travel time.
In-Service Days. Twelve hours per year shall be provided for in-service meetings outside of instructional time. Dates for such meetings shall be by mutual consent of the Association and the Board or its representatives. Additional inservice time may be scheduled in place of instructional time at the employer’s discretion.
In-Service Days. Bus drivers shall have two (2) paid days of in-service (three [3] hours each day) each school year. These days will be scheduled during one of the teacher in-service days.
In-Service Days. Not less than ½ day shall be available for Employee-directed professional activities prior to the start of student days at the beginning of the school year and not less than ½ day shall be available for Employee-directed professional activities following the end of the student school year.
In-Service Days. For each school year, nine (9) in-service days will be scheduled at the discretion of the Superintendent/designee. No in-service days shall be scheduled earlier than one (1) week before the start of classes or later than one (1) day after graduation or the last day of classes, whichever is later. End of the year in-service days may be adjusted, as mutually agreed upon, in order to accommodate rescheduled school cancellation days.
In-Service Days. As required by State law, no less than five (5) common professional development in-service days - Said days shall be reflected on the school calendar. These days may be scheduled as full or partial days scheduled in blocks of time equating to a teacher standard work day as defined in Article 8.
In-Service Days. Teacher in-service days shall be used for teacher professional 6 development as identified in the teacher's Professional Development Plan and the School 7 Improvement Plan.
In-Service Days. (3 days) Each employee shall attend two in-service days prior to the start of the school year in which will be district-scheduled meetings, and one in- service day in October. In order to be paid for these three (3) days the employee must attend.
In-Service Days. Bargaining Unit members will be allowed to attend scheduled in-service training when the nature of the training is directly related to the employee’s work assignment or when it is determined that such attendance is appropriate. Determinations regarding the appropriateness of such training will be made by the Human Resources Department.
In-Service Days. An in-service day shall be a workday for unit members, and unit members shall be compensated at their regular rate of pay for providing services on such days.
