Common use of Imputed Service Clause in Contracts

Imputed Service. For purposes of computing the actuarial reserve death benefit, the Participant's Total Credited Service shall include (check one): Total Credited Service accrued prior to the date of the Participant's death. Total Credited Service accrued prior to the date of the Participant's death, plus (check one): one-half (½) (insert other fraction) of the Service between such date of death and what would otherwise have been the Participant's Normal Retirement Date. (See Master Plan Section 8.02(b) regarding 10-year cap on additional Credited Service.)
