Immunization Requirements. All students who live in College housing are required to have received all immunizations per the College's Immunization Requirements and submit documentation prior to moving into on- campus housing, unless the College has granted the student a waiver for medical or religious reasons. Students who fail to satisfy the College's Immunization Requirements will not be permitted to reside in on-campus housing and will not be eligible for a refund of housing costs.

As a prerequisite to registration, FIU requires all students to comply with immunization policy regulations from the Florida Board of Governors regarding measles, mumps, rubella, meningococcal meningitis and Hepatitis B immunity. Parental history of chickenpox disease is acceptable proof of immunity. A signed written statement from the parent/guardian indicating month and year of disease is sufficient. ▪ 1 dose of tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap) given on or after 10 years of age. ▪ 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4).
