Common use of Illness and Disability Clause in Contracts

Illness and Disability. A. Sick days without loss of pay shall accrue at the rate of one and three-tenths (l-3/l0ths) days per month or thirteen (l3) days per year for all teachers, except teachers in their first year of employment in the School District shall accrue sick days at the rate of one and one-half (l-l/2) days per month or fifteen (l5) days per year. The maximum aggregate accumulation shall be two hundred forty-eight (248) days. The accrual for the school year will normally be credited to the teacher's account at the beginning of each school year in September.
