Housing Fees. The student agrees to pay housing and board fees (first year students are required to have a first year meal plan and sophomores are required to have a sophomore meal plan) as established by the UCM Board of Governors. Rates are established at the level the Board of Governors, in its sole discretion, believes is required to meet current and long range expenses. Should the income from student occupancy be less than that required to meet such expenses, the University reserves the right to increase the established rate for the year by up to, but no more than 15% effective the spring semester.
Housing Fees. Once approved by the Board of Trustees, the 2018-2019 Housing Rates will be posted on the Campus Housing website. Rates include fully furnished rooms, all utilities, laundry, IPTV access and high-speed wireless internet. Note: Should a student’s housing assignment change, rates will be prorated based on check-in and check-out dates.

Student Housing reserves the right, with Board approval, to raise, lower, or modify its housing fees without prior notice to Resident, who must pay any assessed housing fees in accordance with the applicable payment schedule published by the University. Resident’s failure to pay any housing fees imposed under this contract may result in a hold on Resident’s bursar account, transcript, or graduation eligibility. Housing fees for Campus Walk apartments are billed in two equal installments during the 12- month housing contract. The first installment is billed prior to the start of the fall semester of an academic year. The second installment is billed prior to the spring semester. Housing fees for Northgate apartments and all other University residence halls and residential colleges are billed per semester prior to the start of each semester.
Housing Fees a. This contract binds the Resident to pay housing fees according to University payment schedules for the full length of this contract. Housing fees are subject to final approval by the Board of Trustees of the Mississippi Institution of Higher Learning.
