HOTEL SECURITY DEPOSIT Clause Samples
The HOTEL SECURITY DEPOSIT clause requires a guest or event organizer to provide a sum of money to the hotel as a form of financial assurance against potential damages or unpaid charges during their stay or event. Typically, this deposit is collected at check-in or prior to the event and may be held in cash or as a credit card authorization, with the amount varying based on the length of stay, type of event, or hotel policy. The core function of this clause is to protect the hotel from financial loss due to property damage, excessive cleaning, or unpaid bills, ensuring that the hotel has recourse if such issues arise.
