Hospital. An establishment which is legally licensed as a medical or surgical hospital under the laws of the country in which it is situated. Innocent bystander Someone who is not involved with, participating in or reporting on war, acts of foreign enemy hostilities (whether or not war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection or military or usurped power, mutiny, riot, strike, martial law or state of siege, or attempted overthrow of government, or any acts of terrorism, or actively participating in operations countering any such activities. In-patient A patient who is admitted to hospital and who occupies a bed overnight or longer for medical reasons.
