Home Protection. Necessary action taken by a Unit member to protect his/her domicile in the event of a natural disaster. Any other significant event, personal to the Unit member, for which other paid leave of absence is not authorized, which, under the circumstances, the Unit member cannot be expected to disregard, and which requires the immediate attention of the Unit member during his/her assigned hours of service.
