Common use of Holidays Observed Clause in Contracts

Holidays Observed. The approved holidays as listed below, normally include the Friday preceding any such holiday which falls on Saturday and the Monday following any such holiday which falls on Sunday, are holidays for the purpose of this Agreement except those employees who work on a seven-day continuous operation will be compensated for working on the calendar holiday. This neither means that every Saturday holiday will be observed on Friday or every Sunday holiday will be observed on Monday.
