Common use of Holiday Pay Clause in Contracts

Holiday Pay. Employees who are not required to work on the above holidays shall receive holiday pay equal to one normal day's pay. Employees who are required to work shall be paid in accordance with prevailing overtime rates.

If the hours worked is less than the employee’s holiday benefit, the remaining hours due will be paid at the current base rate. Employees who are required must work their last scheduled workday prior to work shall and the scheduled workday after the holiday to be paid in accordance with prevailing overtime rateseligible for holiday pay.
