Holiday Falling on a Workday. An employee who works on a designated holiday, which is a scheduled workday, shall be compensated at the rate of time and one-half for the hours worked plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

Holiday Falling on a Workday. An employee who is required to work on a designated holiday will be compensated at one point five times their regular hourly rate of pay for the hours worked. Regular employees will also receive a day off in lieu. Regular part-time employees receive a day off in lieu as per Clause 17.11 (Paid Holidays for Part-Time Employees). The lieu day will be scheduled by mutual agreement or in accordance with Clause 18.5 (Vacation Schedules) or where the Employer and the employee mutually agree, be paid out. The lieu day will be scheduled by mutual agreement and taken within six months of the day in which it was earned or where the Employer and the employee mutually agree, be paid out. An employee may, by mutual agreement, take lieu days off together with their vacation in accordance with Clause 18.5 (Vacation Schedules).

When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday (a) For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; and when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Work on a Paid Holiday A) Regular Employee

  • Payment for Working on a Holiday (The following clause is applicable to part-time employees only) The holidays listed in the part-time local Appendix for the purposes of Article 16.03(b) shall be the same holidays as are listed in the full-time Local Provisions Appendix. If an employee is required to work on any of the holidays set out in the local Appendix the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) her regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday.
