Higher Duty Allowance. Teachers (i) Where an employee accepts an offer to temporarily perform the duties of an employee in a Position of Responsibility (POR) for a period of ten (10) working days or more, that employee shall be paid an allowance equal to the difference between the employee's own salary and the minimum salary of the higher position. (ii) Where an employee receiving an allowance under paragraph (i) of this subclause, proceeds on approved paid leave, other than parental leave, the employee will continue to receive that allowance.
