Common use of Higher Duties Clause in Contracts

Higher Duties. (a) Subject to sub-clauses (b), (c) and (d) of this clause, an employee who is called upon to relieve an employee in a higher classification or is called upon to act in a vacant position of a higher classification, shall be entitled to receive for the period of relief or the period during which he or she so acts the minimum payment for such higher classification.
