Common use of Health Clause in Contracts

Health. The City shall contract annually with one or more health insurance carriers to provide a group health care plan for eligible employees. If an employee elects single coverage, the City shall contribute an amount equal to ninety-eight percent (98%) of the monthly cost of coverage and the employee's contribution shall equal two percent (2%) of the monthly cost of coverage. If an employee elects 2/4 party coverage, the City shall contribute an amount equal to eighty percent (80%) of the monthly cost of coverage and the employee's contribution shall equal twenty percent (20%) of the monthly cost of coverage. If an employee elects family coverage, the City shall contribute an amount equal to eighty percent (80%) of the monthly cost of coverage and the employee’s contribution shall equal twenty percent (20%) of the monthly cost of coverage.
