GUARANTEED DRIVER WORK TIME Clause Samples

GUARANTEED DRIVER WORK TIME. 10.1 Route time is considered to be all regularly scheduled driving and layover time as set forth at the annual bid. The driver will be guaranteed those hours set forth on the bid sheet for payroll and sick leave accrual purposes. Paid time off will be based on route time only. However, if a driver’s actual daily hours are determined to be different than the time set forth on the September bid sheet, or subsequent bids, the employer may meet with the driver to review daily time card reports and run information. Upon completion of the review, the employer will determine if an adjustment to daily route hours is needed. Said change would become effective five (5) working days from the completion of the review. If the September bid time and the newly adjusted daily route hours are 0.3 (18 minutes) or more difference, the run will be rebid. The bid time will not be adjusted until said run is rebid. Any change to the driver’s insurance benefits that review of the actual daily hours has caused would become effective on the first day of the next month. On days that actual work exceeds the posted route time, the driver shall be paid for actual hours worked, with approval. 10.2 Ordinarily, the bus driverswork year shall be the same as the school attendance calendar. 10.3 Drivers shall be paid ten (10) minutes for reporting and pre-trip time per each show-up time, which time has been included in the bid sheet.
