Common use of Grievance Step 1 Clause in Contracts

Grievance Step 1. If a mutually satisfactory resolution of the problem is not reached in the problem solving meetings or if such meeting has been waived, a grievance shall be put in writing and formally presented to the manager within twenty-eight (28) calendar days after the date the employee first had knowledge of the circumstance that led to the grievance. The written grievance shall state the nature of the grievance and the specific portion of the Agreement allegedly violated.
