Grievance Procedure - Individual. A grievance under this agreement shall be defined as any difference or dispute between the Employer and any employee relating to the interpretation, application or administration of this agreement, including any questions as to whether the matter is arbitrable, and an allegation that this agreement has been violated. All complaints and grievances shall be taken up in the following manner: Step No. An employee having a question or complaint shall refer it to his immediate supervisor within eight (8) working days of the actual occurrence leading to the question or complaint. The supervisor shall reply to the employee, giving the answer to the complaint or question within four (4) working days from date of submission. Step No. If further action is then to be taken, then within five (5) working days after the decision is given in Step Number the employee, who may request the assistance of his or her xxxxxxx, shall submit the grievance in writing to the Administrator or designate. A meeting will then be held between the Administrator or designated representative and the employee. It is understood that at such a meeting the Administrator or his designated representative may have such counsel and assistance as he may desire, and that the employee may have his xxxxxxx and that the Union Representative or an International Representative of the Union may also be present at the request of either the employee or the Employer. The decision of the Administrator or his designated representative shall be given in writing within five (5) working days following the meeting. Grievance Procedure - Individual. 25.03.01 Complaint Stage A Bargaining Unit Member may initiate a complaint in writing with the immediate supervisor (the Principal in the case of all teachers) who shall answer the complaint in writing within five (5) days after receipt of the complaint. A copy of any such complaint and proposed remedy must also be forwarded to the Bargaining Unit President or Designate. Any resolution of a complaint must receive the approval of the Bargaining Unit.
Grievance Procedure - Individual. STEP 1: If an employee has a grievance he shall submit his grievance in writing on a Grievance Form as that shown in Appendix 2 to the immediate Supervisor or Section Head within seven (7) calendar days after the complaint becomes a Grievance. The immediate Supervisor or Section Head will endeavour to settle the grievance through discussions with the Union Representatives in the presence of the employee concerned within the next seven (7) calendar days following the submission of the Grievance Form.
