Green technologies Sample Clauses
The GREEN TECHNOLOGIES clause establishes requirements or preferences for the use of environmentally friendly technologies in the performance of a contract. Typically, this clause may mandate that contractors utilize products, processes, or services that minimize environmental impact, such as energy-efficient equipment or sustainable materials. Its core function is to promote sustainability and reduce the ecological footprint of the contracted activities, ensuring that environmental considerations are integrated into project execution.
Green technologies. 1. The Parties shall cooperate in the green technology sector with a view to:
(a) facilitating the incorporation of green technologies in sectors such as energy, buildings, water and waste management and transportation;
(b) promoting capacity building in the green technology sector ,which may include cooperation on regulatory and market-based instruments, such as green technology financing, green procurement and eco-labelling, as agreed by the Parties;
(c) promoting public education and awareness on green technologies and encourage their widespread use;
(d) promoting and deploying environmental technologies, products and services.
2. Cooperation may take the form of dialogue between the relevant institutions and agencies, exchange of information, staff exchange programmes, study visits, seminars and workshops.
Green technologies. The problem of depleting fossil fuels already seams close. We considered three possible response to this sort of issues. The first is use all means available to reduce consumption of fossil fuel energy. The second is to develop alternative and “clean” technologies such as solar or wind energy or other renewable source that can replace fossil fuel. The third issue is to optimize the managing of power resource. These issues regards not only aging population, but whole world community, in fact the researches of new and alternative sources of energy could improve the QoL of worldwide population. The new power source could be low-cost, rennovable, safe and “clean”. Furthermore new agents could be designed to combine actuation and movement with recharge of supply. For instance a mobile robot with solar panel when needs battery recharge, could move autonomously in order to orient its panels to reach the power source, accumulate energy and recharge battery. Furthermore these new agents could have a biomimetic power supply.
Green technologies. 16.1 Peak water demand should be accommodated with supplementary storage and recycling (e.g. rainwater tanks, grey water recycling) of water so that municipal water only be used to satisfy the base demand;
16.2 Technologies that facilitate the efficient use of irrigation water must be used;
16.3 Planting of waterwise flora is encouraged;
16.4 In accordance with the new SANS 10400-XA standard, all new housing should install solar water heating devices;
16.5 All non-subsidy housing is encouraged to meet the portion of their electrical demand that exceeds 300 kWh per month by generators such as solar photovoltaic panels and solar hot water heating devices;
16.6 SANS 10400-XA energy efficiency standards should be adhered to in all planning applications for new buildinghs, major renovations and usage changes;
