Grade 6. A Registered Nurse Division 1 appointed as a Clinical Consultant D and paid as such. The rate of pay for this classification shall be at the Grade 6 (301-400 beds). A Registered Nurse appointed as a Deputy Director of Nursing and paid as such. A Registered Nurse appointed as a Principal Teacher and paid as such. A Registered Nurse appointed as a Deputy Director of Nursing/ other District Nursing Service, and paid as such. The rate of pay for this classification shall be at the Grade 6 (101-201 beds).
Grade 6. POINT OF ENTRY A Grade Five worker who has completed training and successful assessment in the following disciplines: Resource management and work planning Payroll systems /employee records Accident prevention and investigation State and National Acts and Regulations pertaining to:
(a) Workplace Standards (b) Workers Compensation
Grade 6. 12.2.6(a) Positions at this level may manage the operations of an organisational element usually under limited direction. Positions at this level undertake various functions, under a wide range of conditions to achieve a result in line with the goals of the health service. Immediate subordinate positions may include staff in a technical or professional structure, in which case supervision may involve the exercising of technical or professional skills or judgement.
Grade 6. An employee at this level:
(a) may be responsible for the planning and management of the work of others;
(b) be accountable for personal outputs within broad parameters;
(c) applies knowledge with substantial depth across a range of specialised areas; and exercises a range of skills which may be varied, multi- disciplinary and/or highly specialised;
(d) applies knowledge and skills independently and non-routinely involving breadth, depth and complexity; and
(e) exercises high levels of judgement and initiative, involving analysis, design, planing, execution and evaluation across a range of areas and functions. The following tasks are indicative of those performed by an employee at this level:
i) define and develop record keeping policies and practices, including: * security and access rules and procedures * records retention and disposal schedules * management of records over time
ii) contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans;
iii) develop marketing strategies and plans, including: * marketing campaigns * market research
iv) develop e-business strategies and plans;
v) evaluate new business technologies;
vi) develop website and electronic communication and/or database strategies;
vii) manage multiple projects and programs;
viii) develop systematic approaches to OH&S
Grade 6. School Assistants Grade 6 will hold relevant, formal, tertiary qualifications equivalent to 3 or more years of full-time study with subsequent relevant experience and will, in addition, be responsible for the exercise of significant and independent professional judgement based on extensive experience and an advance level of expertise within the relevant discipline. This level involves demonstrable strategic thinking and planning skills which benefit the organisation beyond the scope of their immediate area of work. This level will exercise the discretion to innovate within their own function, under broad direction and take responsibility for outcomes, undertake planning and exercise high level diagnostic skills.
