The Geographic Adjustments clause establishes how terms, prices, or obligations in an agreement may be modified based on the location where goods or services are provided. In practice, this clause might specify that costs, delivery times, or service levels can vary depending on regional factors such as local regulations, taxes, or market conditions. Its core function is to ensure that the contract remains fair and practical by accounting for geographic differences that could impact performance or costs.
Geographic Adjustments. The appointing authority may authorize more than the step increases specified in Subsections A and B, above, when an employee’s promotion requires a change of residence to another geographic area to be within a reasonable commuting distance of the new place of work. Such an increase may not result in a salary greater than the range maximum.
