GENERAL WAGE PROVISIONS. 31.1 The terms "basic rate", "regular rate”, “wage scale”, “straight time” are understood to mean the basic hourly rate of the Employee involved. 31.2 All overtime, meal penalties and premiums must be authorized by the Production Manager and/or Technical Director or Employer designate, before it is worked. 31.3 Payment for overtime work, premiums and penalties shall be made at the next scheduled pay day, and in any event not later than fourteen (14) days after receipt of a properly completed timesheet. 31.4 Each Employee will complete a timesheet daily as prescribed by the Employer, and this timesheet will be kept in a place prescribed by the Employer. This timesheet shall be signed by the Employee and submitted to the Employer at the end of their final shift for the week covered by the timesheet. The Employer will retain the timesheet as a permanent record. Where there has been a change to a timesheet, the Employer will provide copies of each timesheet for the pay period in question. It is the responsibility of the Employer to calculate the Employee's pay on the basis of the information supplied on the timesheets. The Employer will provide a breakdown of the pay calculations and such breakdown will be recorded on the Employee's pay cheque stub. In the event of any dispute arising regarding pay cheques or timesheets the Employee involved and the Union shall have access to the Employee's pay records upon reasonable notice to the Employer. 31.5 Employees assigned off premises shall submit timesheets as soon as is possible upon returning from such assignment. 31.6 Employees will be paid bi-weekly, at 4:00 p.m. every other Thursday, for work completed to the preceding Saturday. 31.7 Temporary/Casual, Full-time Seasonal and Part-time Seasonal Employees will have their vacation pay paid bi-weekly at the applicable rate as defined by section 40.9. 31.8 In the event a new Bargaining Unit position is created, a basic rate will be negotiated.

GENERAL WAGE PROVISIONS. 3.15.1 In connection with placement in the wage matrix, relevant seniority shall be credited up to a maximum of two years. Upon employment, wage seniority shall be granted with up to the same wage grade for relevant experience in the same or higher position within the oil service area. See also Article 2.6. 3.15.2 New positions that are created shall be entered in the wage table according to advance negotiations between Industri Energi and the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association. The same applies for changes in wage group placement. 3.15.3 Wages shall be paid monthly in accordance with the practice in the individual company. 3.15.4 One day's offshore supplement shall be paid for each day the employee has been on the Shelf. Diving technicians do not receive offshore supplement. 3.15.5 Criteria for advancement between the wage groups included in the individual position structure may be agreed upon locally. In the event of advancement, the employee shall be transferred to the nearest pay grade above the person's previous wages. 3.15.6 In the event of temporary assignments to a higher paid position, the higher wages shall be paid starting from the first day of the assignment. As regards positions with individual wage compensation, a local supplement shall be granted. 3.15.7 Seniority advances are granted as per 1 January. Employees hired between 1 July and 31 December will be granted seniority advances starting from the second time they pass the year-end mark. 3.15.8 Positions with wage levels (basic wages + offshore compensation) in excess of the wage matrix shall be compensated in accordance with Part IV of the Agreement. 3.15.9 Per diem for diving technicians is included in the annual wages, and currently amounts to NOK 1,178 per month. 3.15.10 Foreign personnel who carry out work on the Norwegian Shelf shall have the day wages specified in this Agreement for days worked on the Norwegian Shelf. The parties agree that positions that were not previously regarded as being covered under the working hours chapter in legal terms shall be covered under Part III. Changes in classification from management positions entails a substantive change of the position in relation to working hours. The change in working hours shall be reflected in the wages. The position demands a high level of education and technical expertise. Working hours arrangements for the above-mentioned personnel shall not be altered as a result of this entry.
GENERAL WAGE PROVISIONS. 18.1 Employees shall be paid according to the wage schedules in Article 19 in the classifications to which they are assigned, with credit for years of service within the classification and any credit for industry experience recognized by the Authority at time of hiring. Therefore if the anniversary date occurs within the first week of a pay period, the new rate will be applied from the start of that pay period; if the anniversary date occurs within the second week of the pay period, the new rate will be applied from the start of the next pay period. 18.3 A promotion is movement to a higher wage group. When an employee is promoted into a higher pay classification, the employee shall move into the higher salary group on the first day of the next complete pay period and receive a salary increase which would place the employee on the next higher wage step in the new group, and shall automatically progress upward on the annual or semi-annual anniversary date of the promotion. 18.4 Twice the net weekly salary (i.e., salary after a reasonable portion of the total monthly deductions have been made) plus any approved overtime and penalty payments for the preceding pay period will be paid not later than 1200 hours each second Thursday via direct deposit. GENERAL WAGE PROVISIONS. 26.1 Employees shall be paid according to the wage schedule of the classifications to which they are assigned, with credit for years of service within the classification and any credit for industry experience recognized by the Company at the time of hiring. 26.2 Progression up the salary schedule within each classification shall automatically occur on the first complete pay period of the month nearest the employee’s semi-annual or annual anniversary date of appointment, transfer or promotion. 26.3 Regular wages shall be paid on every second Friday, one week in arrears, for the two (2) week period ending on the previous Saturday. When a pay day coincides with a statutory holiday regular wages shall be paid the day prior. 26.4 An employee will be advised as soon as possible of any changes in his/her time sheets after the employee has submitted them; in which case he/she shall receive a copy of his/her original time sheet showing any change made thereto. 26.5 The rates in the scales in Article 27.1 are minimum rates. Nothing in this Agreement shall prohibit the Company from paying an employee any amount more than the minimum rates. 26.6 For purposes of computation and this Agreement, the basic hourly rate of the employee shall be 1/1950 of the annual salary set forth in Article 27.1. 26.7 Each September 1 and March 1, On-Air Talent (as defined in Article 2.4) shall receive the equivalent of $600 for work related clothing. Effective September 1, 2011 the amount will be increased to $650 and on September 1, 2012 it will be $675. The Company reserves the right to provide such allowance through contra arrangements. Participation in the clothing allowance benefit for eligible employees is optional.

A payment of a premium will be allocated to an employee considered as senior employee in their department. These employees are responsible to establish the schedule for their group of employee. Such schedule has to be approved by the employer. The premium is per pay.
GENERAL WAGE PROVISIONS. (8.01) Employees shall be classified as to job title and experience rating at the time of employment, transfer or promotion, and the Union notified in accordance with Article 23. (8.02) Employees will advance on the wage schedules on the anniversary of their employment, transfer or promotion to a classification. Employees who are paid the salary for an experience classification higher than their actual experience requires shall receive such higher experience rating and thereafter advancement to succeeding salary minimums shall occur on the anniversaries of such upgraded rating. (8.03) The Employer agrees that in determining an employee’s experience rating, experience shall include all employment in comparable work. The comparability of past employment shall be measured in accordance with past practice in the advertising department, recognizing the unique features of the work performed in the Advertising Sales Departments at The Globe and Mail.
GENERAL WAGE PROVISIONS. (a) The Employer shall have the right to hire new Employees at the experience level the Employer deems appropriate. (b) Salaries shall be paid weekly or bi-weekly, at the Employer’s discretion, provided, however, if the Employer elects to change from one method of payment to the other, it will provide forty-five (45) days advance written notice of the change to the Guild.
