General Holiday Pay Calculation. An employee is entitled to general holiday pay for a general holiday on which they do not work provided the employee: (a) did not fail to report for work after having been scheduled to work on the day of the general holiday; or (b) did not absent themselves from work without the Employer's consent on the regular working day immediately preceding or following the general holiday unless the absence is by reason of verified illness, or injury, where such injury does not enable them to perform the required functions of their job.
