Common use of Funeral Clause in Contracts

Funeral. Employees shall be authorized the use of sick leave in the event of the death or illness of any member of the employee's immediate family. ▇▇▇▇ leave taken may be for up to three shifts, additional time may be approved by the Fire Chief or his authorized representative. The immediate family is defined as: Husband, Wife, Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Son, Daughter, Mother-in-law, Father-in-law, Grandmother, Grandfather, Son-in-law, Daughter-in-law, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ parent, Step-parent, Step- children, ▇▇▇▇▇▇-children, or any other relative of either spouse living in the immediate household of the employee.
