Funding Proposals. Assist the Research Board in the RFP planning and preparation process, as requested by the Research Board, as well as the review and selection of Proposals and Continuation Funding Requests, as described in Sections 5 and 6.
Funding Proposals. Tarmac will contribute 2.5 ▇▇▇▇▇ per tonne of all minerals extracted and sold from Broom South Quarry. The monies will be paid by Tarmac to the Council who will hold the money on behalf of the Community Fund and will issue cheques in payment of approved funding as agreed by the Liaison Committee. Tarmac will pay monies to the Council Fund on a quarterly basis based on sales for the previous quarter. The monies will be held by the Council in an interest bearing account and interest arising from the monies will be credited in full to the Community Fund. Tarmac’s liability for payments will commence on implementation of the extension permission. This will be from the start of soil stripping from Phase 4 South which commenced on 15 March 2021.The 2.5 ▇▇▇▇▇ per tonne rate would be index linked in January each year in line with the increase in the Aggregates No. 90/3 Index in the 12 months to September in the previous year. Applications for financial assistance can be made by any group or organisation providing that the project they wish to spend the money on is located within the Parish Boundaries of Southill, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Shefford, Northill and Old Warden (see map below). In order for an application to be considered by the Liaison Group, the project will need the support of one of the Parish Councils represented on the group. Applications are invited to be submitted by 31 July 2022 for consideration by the Liaison Group at its September 2022 meeting.
