Full-Time Operators. 8.5.2.1 The shift involves a 5-week rotation and requires 5 full time Operators. Maintenance Operators and Apprentices continue to operate the plant during vacations, sickness, training, etc but are not be on the normal shift rotation schedule. The 12-hour shift schedule is set up for 200 hours to be worked by WTP Operators every 5 weeks. This results in the following, Week one - 32 hours worked Week two - 12 hours worked Week three - 48 hours worked Week four - 60 hours worked Week five - 48 hours worked Lap time is to remain at the same rate of time off in lieu (1 day). If the WTP changes its hours of normal operation (example summer hours) then the hours for the WTP Operators 12-hour shift will change to match the start time of the WTP.

Full-Time Operators. Full-time employee's seniority shall be defined as continuous years of service in the Town of Fairhaven as a full-time Operator. Seniority shall prevail in the following matters; layoffs, recalls, transfers, shift assignments, reassignments and vacations. Employees shall serve a six (6) month probationary period upon hire. During the probationary period the employee may be discharged or laid off with or without cause and such discharge or layoff shall not be subject to the grievance procedure. Once the probationary period is over the employee’s seniority date shall be the date of hire by the Town.
Full-Time Operators. No Full-Time regular operator shall be laid off until all part-time operators are laid off.
Full-Time Operators i) A dollar amount of $620 will be allocated to each full-time non-probationary employee every January 1st which will be converted on the basis of a ratio of 1 dollar = 1 point.
