Common use of Formal Stage Clause in Contracts

Formal Stage. Step One (1) If the reply of the immediate supervisor of the grievor at the Informal Stage is not acceptable to the Bargaining Unit, within ten (10) days the Bargaining Unit may initiate a written grievance with the Superintendent of Staffing-Secondary or designate. A meeting will be held between the Superintendent, the grievor and a representative of the Bargaining Unit within ten (10) days of the presentation of the grievance to the Superintendent. The Superintendent shall give the grievor a reply within five (5) days. If the Superintendent’s reply is not satisfactory to the grievor, the grievor may proceed to Step 2 within five (5) days of receipt of such answer.
