Common use of Formal Grievances Clause in Contracts

Formal Grievances. All grievances shall be presented at the proper step, in writing, within twenty (20) days of the act, omission, or commencement of the condition on which the grievance is based, or after the date on which the member knew or reasonably should have known of such act, omission, or condition if that date is later. In no event, however, shall grievances be presented more than 120 days after the act, omission, or commencement of the condition on which the grievance is based.
