Definition of Seniority Seniority shall be defined as the length of an employee's continuous service with the Employer, commencing with his/her last date of full-time hire. The application of seniority shall be limited to the preferences specifically recited in this Agreement.

Role of Seniority in Layoffs (a) Both parties recognize that job security shall increase in proportion to length of service. Therefore, in the event of a layoff, employees shall be laid off in the reverse order of their bargaining-unit-wide seniority, providing that the retained employees are able to perform the available work.
Seniority Dates Upon request, the Employer agrees to make available to the Union the seniority dates of any employees covered by this Agreement. Such seniority dates shall be subject to correction for error on proper representation by the Union.
Transfer of Service and Seniority Effective October 10, 1986, and for employees who transfer subsequent to October 10, 1986, an employee whose status is changed from full-time to part- time shall receive credit for her full service and seniority.
