For Casual Employees. Casual Employees who have been assigned workload during at least two (2) trimesters in the previous year shall, upon re-employment, be entitled to an increase to their current daily, or hourly rate expressed in dollars, which is equivalent to the percentage increase negotiated to the rates of pay in the applicable annual Salary Schedule (which forms part of this agreement). This paragraph does not apply to Casual employees assigned courses as non-credit Instructors.
For Casual Employees. (i) A minimum of seven days' notice when onshore and rostered to work. (ii) In the event notice is given while offshore, the Employee must remain on the Vessel until the crew change. (iii) When a Casual Employee is informed in writing of the length of a casual engagement and has not agreed to the employment yet, then the notice period will not apply. (iv) When the project ceases ahead of the expected completion date and the notice period cannot reasonably be given, then the notice period will not apply.

For Casual Employees the All Inclusive rate compensates Casual Employees for working on six (6) public Holidays per year. Where the Employer directs a Casual Employee, in writing, to exceed six (6) Public Holidays then the Employee shall be paid double time for hours worked on those directed days provided that the minimum hours worked on the public holiday is not less than four (4) hours. Where a Casual Employee applies to work on a Public Holiday then sub-clause 4.6.6 shall apply.
For Casual Employees. Casual employees shall earn seniority based on the actual number of hours (excluding overtime) worked in the bargaining unit position. Such seniority shall only be used for the purposes of applying for positions under clause Seniority accrued in the manner as described above shall be retained for a period of four (24) months from the date of the last shift worked. For Casual Employees. In an effort to recognize that CLS’ casual staff, the Employer will provide professional development and wellness funds to eligible employees. Casual employees who accumulate a minimum of four hundred and sixty-five (465) hours worked per calendar year will receive two hundred dollars ($ 200.00) per year for Professional Development and four hundred dollars ($ 400.00) per year paid as a lump sum payment. Eligibility for each year will be based on the previous calendar years’ hours worked and will be effective January 1 of the following year.
