Common use of Floater Holiday Clause in Contracts

Floater Holiday. When an employee is required to work on a designated Floater Holiday, and the employee is eligible for the Holiday, they shall receive pay at their regular rate for the holiday and in addition shall receive compensating time off at straight time for the actual hours of work performed on the Floater Holiday. Where the holiday falls on the salaried employee's scheduled day off, the employee shall be given another day off in lieu of the holiday or pay for one work day at the regular rate.
