A Floater Holiday clause allows employees to take a paid day off on a date of their choosing, rather than on a fixed public holiday. Floater Holiday. Each regular employee shall be entitled to one (1) additional day vacation with pay during the calendar year, and to be taken as mutually agreed by the employee and his/her immediate supervisor. This day will be recorded as one day added to the employee’s vacation credits for the year. A request by the employee to take Remembrance Day as the floater day shall be granted.
Floater Holiday. When an employee is required to work on a designated Floater Holiday, and the employee is eligible for the Holiday, they shall receive pay at their regular rate for the holiday and in addition shall receive compensating time off at straight time for the actual hours of work performed on the Floater Holiday. Where the holiday falls on the salaried employee's scheduled day off, the employee shall be given another day off in lieu of the holiday or pay for one work day at the regular rate.

Floater Holiday. In addition to the forgoing Named Holidays, full-time employees who are in the employ of the Employer on February 1st shall be granted an additional holiday as a “Floater Holiday” in that year. The Floater Holiday shall be scheduled at a time mutually agreed upon between the Employer and employee.
Floater Holiday. After completion of the probation period (Article 8.01), an employee shall be entitled to one (1) day with pay each year as a floater holiday. Such holiday shall be arranged by mutual agreement between the employee and the Department Head.
