Common use of Family Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Family Sick Leave. For all units a maximum of one-half (1/2) of the employee’s annual accrual of earned sick leave per calendar year may be used for attendance upon the members of the employee’s immediate family who require the attention of the employee. Upon approval of the appointing authority, the employee may use part of this annual allowance for attendance upon members of the employee’s extended family residing in the employee’s household who require the attention of the employee.
