The 'Familial status' clause defines protections or requirements related to individuals based on their family composition, such as whether they have children or are pregnant. In practice, this clause often appears in housing or employment agreements to ensure that people are not discriminated against because they have children, are seeking custody, or are expecting a child. Familial Status. No member of the Contestant’s family including mother, step-mother, father, step- father, grandparent, step-grandparent, adoptive parent, sister, brother, step siblings, half siblings or anyone living in Contestant’s household is currently, or has within the last three months, been employed or served as a volunteer, officer, director, trustee, sponsor, coach or agent whether in a paid or voluntary capacity in the state in which the Contestant is competing.
Familial Status. In this case, that would be limited to tenants who had or desired to have more than two individuals reside in the unit due to at least one individual under the age of 18 residing in the unit.
