Failure to Respond. 39. Except as otherwise provided herein, a grievance shall be void in the event a grievance is not initiated or appealed through the steps in accordance with the time periods set forth above. Failure of the SFMTA to timely reply to a grievance shall authorize appeal to the next grievance step.
