Facilities provided by the Contractor. Describe what the Contractor is to provide in the way of Site accommodation, laboratories, storage, vehicles and office equipment etc for the Project Manager and the Supervisor, and any restrictions or minimum requirements concerning the Contractor’s own facilities. State requirements for facilities to be provided by the Contractor such as construction camps. Also state what happens to these facilities upon completion of the contract. Set out constraints, if any, as to the location by the Contractor of such facilities on the Site and requirements for drawings of Site facilities, as necessary.

The Contractor shall make his own arrangements for the supply of electrical power, water (see Clause A1.3.3), telecommunication services, ablution facilities, sewer services, first aid facilities and other services, the payment thereof and all reinstatements required upon completion. No direct payment will be made to the Contractor for the provision of electrical and other services. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in the rates and amounts tendered for the various items of work for which these services are required. The Contractor will be required to erect a security fence around the construction camp and temporary parking area for plant and equipment. The cost thereof is regarded to be included in the relevant rates for establishment on site. The storage of fuels in tanks may be kept in the Contractor's camp subject to the regulations of the Airport authorities that require a berm or wall around the installation sufficient to retain the capacity fuel of the tanks. The Contractor shall make his own arrangements for telephone and facsimile facilities. Cellular phones will be acceptable, but the Contractor must obtain airside permits from ACSA at his own cost.

This must be discussed with the Project Manager prior to commencement of work. The Contractor shall supplies all the necessary equipment and material required to execute the works, including portable ablution facilities and proper eating facilities for their employees.
Facilities provided by the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide, for his own use adequate size offices. A cleaning service must also be provided. Domestic rubbish will be removed free of charge. The Contractor shall dismantle and clear off site all such infrastructure at the discretion of the Service Manager on completion of the contract. No such dismantling and clearance work shall be carried out without prior approval by the Project Manager. Any electrical equipment or appliances used by the Contractor shall conform to the applicable South African Safety standards and Xxxxx standard PSR 010, and shall be maintained in safe and proper working condition. The Employer shall have the right to stop the Contractor’s use of any electrical equipment or appliance, which in the Employer’s opinion does not conform to the foregoing.

The location of the camp site shall be liaised with the Principal Agent at the site hand over. No employees except for security guards will be allowed to sleep/ or be accommodated on the site respectively. The Contractor shall provide the necessary ablution facilities at his camp site and the site of the works for the use of his employees. These ablutions can be tied into the existing sewer system. All other services necessary to execute the contract shall be arranged and paid for by the Contractor. These may include the following:-  Telecommunication services: landline and fax facilities to be arranged with Telkom.  Medical and first-aid facilities: the Contractor has to supply and regularly re-supply a First Aid kit on site to be available at the site offices.  Fire protection services: the Contractor shall as part of his OHSA obligations have a list of emergency contact numbers clearly displayed in the site office.  Contract instructions book in triplicateRefuse removal: the Contractor shall make the necessary arrangements for regular removal of refuse. Cost associated with this will be for the contractor’s account. The site must at all times be tidy and free of refuse.
