Extracurricular Positions. All elementary extracurricular positions will be posted. These positions will not be filled until the staff has been reassigned as a result of the building closing.
Extracurricular Positions. A. During the regular school year, any assignment in addition to the normal teaching schedule, such as but not limited to those listed in this Article, shal be covered by a separate individual contract. The Administration wil have the right to fil the positions from within or from outside the bargaining unit and to assign individuals to these positions based upon many factors, including being employed by the District as a teacher. These assignments shal not be obligatory. Tenure status does not accrue in these assignments. It is understood that the annual reappointment to these positions shal be completely at the discretion of the Board. Extracurricular positions wil be recommended to the Board for contract renewal or non-renewal at the first Board meeting following the end of their season or commitment. Only positions not approved for renewal by the Board wil be posted.
Extracurricular Positions. The parties agree that the filling of extracurricular positions presents certain problems which cannot be addressed by the procedure for filling vacancies in teaching positions. The following procedure shall govern the filling of non-coaching positions:
Extracurricular Positions. Individual teachers who have positions which provide compensation in addition to the rates provided in the basic compensation schedule will be relieved of them during the school year only for just cause. Teachers may be removed from such positions for the following school year if a written notice with reasons given for removal is provided by May 1. Otherwise, teachers shall retain such positions from year to year. In the event that there are no qualified volunteers available for staffing any extra- curricular position, the administration may mandate a qualified teacher to fill said position. A teacher in an extracurricular position will notify the Board in writing, on or before April 1, if he/she does not intend to continue in such position during the next school year. Teachers relieved of extra-duty positions under this Article III, Section 10, shall have the right to invoke the grievance procedure of this Agreement up to and including the Third Step but such grievance shall not be subject to arbitration.

  • Filling Positions ‌ The Employer will determine when a position will be filled, the type of appointment to be used when filling the position, and the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the specific position within a job classification. Only those candidates who have the position-specific skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the vacant position will be referred for further consideration by the employing agency.

  • Other Positions Executive shall immediately resign, and shall be deemed to have immediately resigned without the requirement of any additional action, from any and all position Executive holds with the Company and its Affiliates on Executive’s Date of Termination.
