Extra Duty Stipends. Bargaining unit members are eligible to receive extra-duty stipends, as listed in the Appendix I of this contract, providing they meet the minimum qualifications of the position. Such stipends are not to be used as additional compensation for the bargaining unit member’s regularly assigned job duties.
Extra Duty Stipends. The following activities or responsibilities require a professional educational certificate and will be paid by supplemental contract:

C. The stipends in subsections A and B above shall be improved by the following experience factors:

D. With principal approval an assignment and its stipend may be shared by two or more employees. Each employee shall receive a pro-rated share of any experience factor based on the employee’s individual years of experience.

Building Leadership and CIA Building leadership team responsibilities will be compensated with stipends for the leadership team members that total $5,000 at each of the three schools. The maximum number of leadership team members equally splitting the total will be five per building (members of the DEA bargaining unit). CIA committee representatives will be selected from the leadership teams (with at least one from each school, and not more than two) and such service will be a part of leadership team responsibilities, not an additionally compensated role or required release time. Extra Duty Stipends. Bargaining unit employees who apply and are selected by the District to provide services outside of their regular duties and will do so without accumulating time worked in such capacity toward the payment of overtime. Compensation for such services shall be according to the rates established in Appendix B. This Agreement and this provision is intended to waive the employer’s obligation to pay overtime or any rate of pay other than that indicated in the attached Extra-Duty Schedule, or to provide minimum employment conditions (except as specified in this Agreement) and is intended to fulfill the requirements of all applicable law, including ORS 653.261 and OAR 839-020-0030. Classified employees provide extra-duty services entirely on a voluntary basis and both the District and the employee may terminate such services at any time.
Extra Duty Stipends. The District agrees to include on school postings language to read: Administrators/teachers are encouraged to enlist classified employee assistance by allowing employees to participate in the stipend program when additional help is needed. Possible positions would include audio-visual coordinator, technology coordinator, and elementary school yearbook advisor.
Extra Duty Stipends. Unit members employed to perform extra duties shall receive stipends pursuant to the attached schedule contained in Appendix "B". It is agreed and understood that this schedule shall be renegotiated by the parties in subsequent school years.
Extra Duty Stipends. Extra Duty Stipends shall be paid in accordance with Appendix D. These stipends represent payment for all duties performed beyond classroom instructional time. This stipend schedule shall be increased by any overall percentage increase to the salary schedule.
Extra Duty Stipends. A. Effective for the summer school session of June/July 2024, the hourly rate for summer school shall be $65.00.
B. Effective upon ratification of this Agreement, the hourly instructional rate for Adult Education, home teaching and other instruction shall be $35.00.
C. Effective upon ratification of this Agreement, the hourly non-instructional rate for inservice, curriculum development and Saturday School supervision shall be $30.00 as funding is available
D. A Site Stipend Committee made up of the principal or designee, one (1) MEA representative, and one or more teachers mutually agreed upon by the principal and the MEA representative may determine how to expend any stipend discretionary funds so long as a written outline of the job responsibilities is prepared. Funds from any funded stipend position that is vacant may also be reallocated by mutual agreement by the District and the Site Stipend Committee.
E. Effective July 1, 2019, the Extra Duty Stipend Schedule is as reflected on the Extra Duty Stipend Schedule in Appendix C. Appearance of a program on the list does not obligate the District to establish, maintain or continue the program listed.
Extra Duty Stipends. The extra-curricular schedule shall be as set forth in Appendix C hereof.
Extra Duty Stipends. Extra duty stipends for 2023-2026 shall be in accordance with appendices A-2 and A-3, which by this reference are incorporated herein.
4.12.1 In filling extra duty positions, the District shall make every effort to seek qualified volunteers from the District staff and community members; if positions remain unfilled, the District retains the right to assign staff to these positions.
4.12.2 Extra duty contracts shall be issued separately from teaching contracts.
4.12.3 Evaluation of extra duty performance shall be separate from and in addition to evaluations of teaching performance.
Extra Duty Stipends. The District will pay stipends set forth in Article 12 of the parties’ collective bargaining agreement for the entire 2019-20 school year.
