Common use of Exposure Clause in Contracts

Exposure. When an employee has been exposed to a suspected contagious disease during the course and scope of employment, the nature and circumstances of exposure shall be promptly reported to the Districts designated representative who after such medical investigation as he deems appropriate, shall advise the Battalion Chief whether they will be required to remain off-duty for an appropriate period of quarantine. In the event the employee is required to remain off duty for these purposes, they will be compensated in accordance with the provisions of Section 4850 of the California Labor Code.
