Existing Development. Existing development already using septic systems may continue to use the septic system until it is necessary to repair or replace the septic system, at which time connection to public sewer will be required if public sewer is within 300 feet of the property. All existing development utilizing septic systems located on a property which receives tentative plat approval for a subdivision or partition shall connect to public sewer and properly abandon the septic system prior to final plat approval.
