Common use of EXEMPT AND SAVE HARMLESS Clause in Contracts

EXEMPT AND SAVE HARMLESS. ‌ To the extent that coverage is available under the provisions of the Self Insured Comprehensive General Liability Coverage of the University, College, and Institute Protection Program, the University shall: a) exempt and save harmless each current and former Employee from any liability action arising from the proper performance of duties for the University, and; b) assume all costs, legal fees and other expenses arising from any such action, and; c) provide advance notice to those current and former Employees who are named by an investigation, inquiry or complaint under this Article as soon as the University becomes aware.
