Common use of EXECUTION OF CONTRACT Clause in Contracts

EXECUTION OF CONTRACT. The bid as submitted, including the documents specified in Section 103.06(a), shall be a part of the Contract upon submittal of the Loudoun County payment and performance bonds and proof of the insurance requirements in 103.06(e) and the final execution by the County. After the County has recommended the bid for award the apparent low bidder shall be required to sign and return the Owner – Contractor Agreement to the County Purchasing Agent. Failure to sign and return the Owner – Contractor Agreement will result in forfeiture of the proposal guarantee (bid bond). If the Contract is not awarded within the time limit specified in IFB Section 18.5, the bidder may withdraw his bid without penalty or prejudice unless the time limit is extended by mutual consent. No Contract shall be considered effective until it has been fully executed by all parties.
