Common use of EXECUTION OF BOND Clause in Contracts

EXECUTION OF BOND. The Bond shall be executed on behalf of the District by the facsimile or manual signatures of the Mayor of the City and the City Clerk, who are in office on the date of this Agreement or at any time thereafter. If any officer whose signature appears on the Bond ceases to be such officer before delivery of the Bond to the Owner, such signature shall nevertheless be as effective as if the officer had remained in office until the delivery of the Bond to the Owner. The Bond may be signed and attested on behalf of the District by such persons as at the actual date of the execution of such Bond shall be the proper officers of the City although at the nominal date of such Bond any such person shall not have been such officer of the City. The Bond as shall bear thereon a certificate of authentication in substantially the form set forth in Exhibit A hereto, manually executed and dated by the Fiscal Agent, shall be valid or obligatory for any purpose or entitled to the benefits of this Agreement, and such certificate of authentication of the Fiscal Agent shall be conclusive evidence that such Bond has been duly authenticated, registered and delivered hereunder, and are entitled to the benefits of this Agreement.
