EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND. If Teijin Aramid wishes to make use of subsidies from the European Social Fund (ESF), the request can be submitted through the Stichting Opleidingsfonds Vakopleiding Procesindustrie (OVP - Foundation Training Fund Vocational Training Process Industries). Teijin Aramid makes a voluntary contribution to the OVP to enable the fund to provide public-law co-financing. EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND. SFC has made £17.8m of European Social Funds available to the Glasgow Region colleges over the three year period 2015/16 to 2017/18. The total SFC ESF grant of £17.8m equates to approximately £7.1m Student Support and £10.7m teaching grant for 45,656 Credits of activity. This funding includes elements of both resource related to mainstream ESF and to the South West Scotland Youth Employment Initiative which is intended to provide high quality opportunities to support the sustainable integration into the labour market of young persons (aged 16 to 19) who are already outside the education system. The Glasgow colleges agreed with SFC to phase this additional ESF activity over the 3 year period 2015/16 to 2017/18 so that overall total activity across the Glasgow Region would rise by approximately 2-3% each year over the 3-year period and in a manner which is consistent with the direction of travel of the Curriculum and Estates Review. EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND. (a) If the Authority identifies that obligations of the Contractor under this Agreement are supported directly or indirectly by the European Social Fund, the Contractor shall comply, and ensure that its Subcontractors comply, with the terms of this Clause 3.15 in relation to those obligations.

  • Indigenous Peoples 11. The Borrower shall ensure, and shall cause UWSCG to ensure, that the Project does not have any indigenous peoples impact within the meaning of the SPS.   • Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union recognize the role of the joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee in promoting a safe and healthful workplace. The parties agree that a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall be established for each Employer covered by this Collective Agreement. The Committee shall govern itself in accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Health and Safety Regulations made pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act. The Committee shall be as between the Employer and the Union, with equal representation, and with each party appointing its own representatives. Representatives of the Union shall be chosen by the Union membership or appointed by the Union. All minutes of the meetings of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee will be recorded in a mutually agreeable format and will be sent to the Union. The Union further agrees to actively pursue with the other Health Care Unions a Joint Union Committee for the purposes of this Article. The Employer agrees to provide or cause to be provided to Employer members of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee adequate training and orientation to the duties and responsibilities of committee members to allow the incumbents to fulfil those duties competently.   • European Monetary Union If, as a result of the implementation of European monetary union, (a) any currency ceases to be lawful currency of the nation issuing the same and is replaced by a European common currency, then any amount payable hereunder by any party hereto in such currency shall instead be payable in the European common currency and the amount so payable shall be determined by translating the amount payable in such currency to such European common currency at the exchange rate recognized by the European Central Bank for the purpose of implementing European monetary union, or (b) any currency and a European common currency are at the same time recognized by the central bank or comparable authority of the nation issuing such currency as lawful currency of such nation, then (i) any Loan made at such time shall be made in such European common currency and (ii) any other amount payable by any party hereto in such currency shall be payable in such currency or in such European common currency (in an amount determined as set forth in clause (a)), at the election of the obligor. Prior to the occurrence of the event or events described in clause (a) or (b) of the preceding sentence, each amount payable hereunder in any currency will continue to be payable only in that currency. The Borrowers agree, at the request of the Required Lenders, at the time of or at any time following the implementation of European monetary union, to enter into an agreement amending this Agreement in such manner as the Required Lenders shall reasonably request in order to avoid any unfair burden or disadvantage resulting from the implementation of such monetary union and to place the parties hereto in the position they would have been in had such monetary union not been implemented, the intent being that neither party will be adversely affected economically as a result of such implementation and that reasonable provisions shall be adopted to govern the borrowing, maintenance and repayment of Loans denominated in currencies other than Dollars after the occurrence of the event or events described in clause (a) or (b) of the preceding sentence.

  • Purchaser Bears Economic Risk The Purchaser has substantial experience in evaluating and investing in private placement transactions of securities in companies similar to the Company so that it is capable of evaluating the merits and risks of its investment in the Company and has the capacity to protect its own interests. The Purchaser must bear the economic risk of this investment until the Securities are sold pursuant to: (i) an effective registration statement under the Securities Act; or (ii) an exemption from registration is available with respect to such sale.

  • Data Protection Legislation the UK Data Protection Legislation and any other European Union legislation relating to personal data and all other legislation and regulatory requirements in force from time to time which apply to a party relating to the use of Personal Data (including, without limitation, the privacy of electronic communications) and the guidance and codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner or relevant government department in relation to such legislation.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility The Parties affirm the importance of each Party encouraging enterprises operating within its Area or subject to its jurisdiction to voluntarily incorporate into their internal policies those internationally recognised standards, guidelines and principles of corporate social responsibility that have been endorsed or are supported by that Party.

  • Residence Community Living Standards The Residence Community Living Standards (“RCLS”) forms a part of this Agreement. It details the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of Residents as well as the residence conduct process. Each Resident is responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the terms outlined within the RCLS. The Manager and the Institution may amend the terms of the RCLS from time to time and may post the amendments in the Residence. Failure to abide by the RCLS may result in eviction from Residence and termination of this Agreement as per the violations and sanctions outlined in the RCLS, and as stated in section 8.01(d).
