ESTIMATING DISCLAIMER Clause Samples

An Estimating Disclaimer is a contractual provision that limits the liability of a party providing cost or time estimates by clarifying that such estimates are not guarantees. In practice, this clause typically states that estimates are based on current information and reasonable assumptions, but actual costs or timelines may vary due to unforeseen circumstances or changes in project scope. Its core function is to protect the estimating party from claims or disputes if actual outcomes differ from initial projections, thereby allocating risk and ensuring both parties understand the provisional nature of estimates.
