ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERABLE PRODUCTS. The Contractor shall procure and use products that are energy-efficient (Energy Star or Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP)-designated), water efficient, bio-based, environmentally preferable (e.g., Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT)-registered), non-ozone depleting, contain recycled content, or are non-toxic or less toxic alternatives, where such products and services meet performance requirements.
ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERABLE PRODUCTS. 10.1 The City encourages environmentally preferable products, i.e., products or services that have less negative or more positive effects on human health and the environment when compared with competing products or services that serve the same purpose. The city encourages bidders to describe, in the space provided on the Bid Form, the environmental attributes of its goods or services throughout the entire life-cycle, including manufacture, use and disposition. This information may include multiple environmental considerations such as natural resource use, recycled content, energy and water efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, impact on climate change, packaging, hazardous material use, and health and safety impacts on workers, consumers and the community. If you do not currently assess such attributes, please indicate that. However you respond, the City will not take your information into account in evaluating bid proposals.

ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERABLE PRODUCTS. (EPP)‌ GreenScreen certified firefighting foams, which have been tested to be both free of Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and free of the chemicals of highest health and environmental concerns, are now available through this contract. EPP Requirements: State buyers are reminded that Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP) Procurement Program requirements for the use of environmentally preferable disinfectants, and some cleaning supplies, has been waived due to the availability of the products impacted by the demand caused by COVID-19. As the EPP supply replenishes, buyers are reminded that these disinfectants and other third-party certified products remain recommended for use and are selected for public health and environmental standards. ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERABLE PRODUCTS. It is the policy of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Del Norte to provide for the procurement of environmentally preferable products, including reusable, reused, recycled, and composted products. The Del Norte County Board of Supervisors, its departments, staff, and contractors shall specify and utilize these products whenever practical.
ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERABLE PRODUCTS. In alignment with the District's Green Port Policy, the District will strive to minimize environmental impacts directly attributable to operations on San Diego Bay and the tidelands.   • Materials of Environmental Concern “Materials of Environmental Concern” include chemicals, pollutants, contaminants, wastes, toxic substances, petroleum and petroleum products and any other substance that is now or hereafter regulated by any Environmental Law or that is otherwise a danger to health, reproduction or the environment.

  • Environmental Tobacco Smoke Public Law 103-227 (also known as the Pro-Children Act of 1994) and Vermont’s Act 135 (2014) (An act relating to smoking in lodging establishments, hospitals, and child care facilities, and on State lands) restrict the use of tobacco products in certain settings. Party shall ensure that no person is permitted: (i) to use tobacco products or tobacco substitutes as defined in 7 V.S.A. § 1001 on the premises, both indoor and outdoor, of any licensed child care center or afterschool program at any time; (ii) to use tobacco products or tobacco substitutes on the premises, both indoor and in any outdoor area designated for child care, health or day care services, kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, elementary, or secondary education or library services; and (iii) to use tobacco products or tobacco substitutes on the premises of a licensed or registered family child care home while children are present and in care. Party will refrain from promoting the use of tobacco products for all clients and from making tobacco products available to minors. Failure to comply with the provisions of the federal law may result in the imposition of a civil monetary penalty of up to $1,000 for each violation and/or the imposition of an administrative compliance order on the responsible entity. The federal Pro-Children Act of 1994, however, does not apply to portions of facilities used for inpatient drug or alcohol treatment; service providers whose sole source of applicable federal funds is Medicare or Medicaid; or facilities where Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) coupons are redeemed.

  • Dangerous Materials Tenant shall not keep or have on the Premises any article or thing of a dangerous, flammable, or explosive character that might substantially increase the danger of fire on the Premises, or that might be considered hazardous by a responsible insurance company, unless the prior written consent of Landlord is obtained and proof of adequate insurance protection is provided by Tenant to Landlord.

  • Work Environment It is mutually agreed that the prevention of accidents and injuries to state employees will result in greater efficiency of operations of state government. Toward this end, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions and the Union shall fully cooperate by encouraging all employees to perform their assigned tasks in a safe manner.

  • Environmental Laws and Hazardous Materials The Company and its subsidiaries are in compliance with all foreign, federal, state and local rules, laws and regulations relating to the use, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous or toxic substances or waste and protection of health and safety or the environment which are applicable to their businesses (“Environmental Laws”). There has been no storage, generation, transportation, handling, treatment, disposal, discharge, emission, or other release of any kind of toxic or other wastes or other hazardous substances by, due to, or caused by the Company or any of its subsidiaries (or, to the Company’s Knowledge, any other entity for whose acts or omissions the Company or any of its subsidiaries is or may otherwise be liable) upon any of the property now or previously owned or leased by the Company or any of its subsidiaries, or upon any other property, in violation of any law, statute, ordinance, rule, regulation, order, judgment, decree or permit or which would, under any law, statute, ordinance, rule (including rule of common law), regulation, order, judgment, decree or permit, give rise to any liability; and there has been no disposal, discharge, emission or other release of any kind onto such property or into the environment surrounding such property of any toxic or other wastes or other hazardous substances with respect to which the Company or any of its subsidiaries has knowledge.

  • Environmental Attributes Seller acknowledges and agrees that any Environmental Attribute associated with or related to the Product will not be sold or otherwise made available to a third party but will be sold to Buyer pursuant to this Agreement. For the avoidance of doubt, the Product sold hereunder must meet the definition of “renewable energy credit” under the IPA Act.
